The Graphics Program prepares students for careers in the related fields of graphic design, web design, pre-press, and printing.

 

Graphic design is the profession that plans, analyzes, and creates visual solutions to communication problems. Utilizing state-of-the-art technological resources and instruction, our students develop skills in traditional print-based design as well as basic web design.

 

The Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design includes the study of design principles and elements, color theory, an overview of the graphics industry, and a survey of art history. This course of study is for students who intend to transfer to a 4-year college or university to pursue a bachelors in graphic design.

 

Students should consult with their advisor and the catalog from their transfer institution to aid in selecting courses.

General Education Requirements


Students should refer to the Graduation Requirements .

Total General Education Requirements: 36-42 Credits


Six hours of Visual & Performing Arts will be fulfilled by taking Core Courses.

Total Core Courses: 20 Credits


Minimum Credits for Degree = 64
