COSC 2150 - Computer Organization(3) This course introduces students to the organization and architecture of computer systems, beginning with the standard Von Neumann model and then moving forward to more recent architectural concepts. MARS will be used as a computer simulator, implementing the MIPS machine language codes and structure. In this course the student will examine the various components and structure of computer systems such as memory, central processors, peripheral equipment, networks, and other topics essential to the understanding of modern computer architecture. This will be accomplished through assignments, class presentatations, class discussions, projects, and other activities appropriate to the class.
