EDEC 1100 - Observation and Guidance of Young Children(2) A study of the principles of guidance and the development of skills to meet children’s needs individually and in groups, with an emphasis on promoting a positive and constructive climate in the early childhood setting. Classroom management techniques including organizing environments, scheduling, assessments, parent-teacher communication and related areas will be covered in class as well as during the field experience.
Prerequisite: Completion of EDEC 1020 with a “C-” or better. Co-Requisite: Concurrent enrollment in EDEC 1105 . (2 hrs lec)
