GEOL 2150 - Geomorphology

Geomorphology is a broad survey of landforms and the processes that modify them, encompassing space and time scales ranging from the instantaneous motion of sand in rivers during floods to the uplift of mountains over millions of years. Studied in depth are the processes, effects, and results of streams, rivers, landslides, weathering, glaciers, deserts, shorelines, oceans, and volcanism. Students will develop critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills in weekly labs. 

Prerequisite: Consent of Instructor
(3 hrs lec, 1 hr lab)
