CHEM 2300 - Introduction to Organic Chemistry(4) Students learn basic principles and methods of organic Chemistry including nomenclature, structure, reactions, reaction mechanisms, and stereo chemistry. They also acquire introductory knowledge of nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, ultraviolet, and mass spectral analysis of organic compounds. Prerequisite: CHEM 1000 or CHEM 1020 . Not for students who have taken CHEM 2320 or CHEM 2340 . (4 hrs lec)
