Students in this course develop technology skills that are requisite to successful participation in online coursework. Emphasis is given to using Blackboard tools efficiently, managing the unique time demands of online learning, conducting effective information searches via the Internet or via the online side of Northwest’s Hinckley Library, and developing collaborative threaded discussion skills. This course also assists students in adapting personal learning strengths to online environments, presents the interactive power of emerging Web 2.0 tools, and more. (2 hrs lec)
