MUSC 2370 - Rock and Roll - Its History and Culture

Students learn about and participate in one of the dominant dialogues in American culture: rock and roll music. That is, during the course of the semester, we will examine American culture through the lens of rock and roll and explore the ramifications of this relationship. Students will listen to music, read relevant social texts, and synthesize this material in written and spoken forms, culminating in a public presentation. (3 hrs lec)
