Farrier – Horse Owner Foot Care, S.C.

Students learn basic skills to trim and shoe horses. The skills practiced in class will allow for evaluation and treatment of minor lameness and gait problems. Classroom time is complemented with significant time in lab. Horses are provided so students have ample hands-on experience. These courses could also be the foundation for continuing to the Professional Farrier Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Farrier Business Management.
