The Ski Area Operations certificate program allows individuals interested in learning how to manage a ski area with hands-on opportunities. The 25 credit hour program spreads across two semesters and gives students the chance to gain outdoor leadership ski area knowledge, skills, and abilities by learning about outdoor emergency care, risk management, lift operations, rental area management, snowmaking, and ski patrol fundamentals. Certification opportunities in Outdoor Emergency Care and Outdoor Emergency Transportation, Rental and Binding, and National Ski Patrol are embedded within this two-semester certificate.
