The Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design is a course of study for students who intend to transfer to professional art schools or universities to complete a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

Graphic designers combine art and technology to communicate ideas in visual form. Designers must demonstrate aptitude in creative, analytical, and technical areas. Utilizing both hand-created processes and industry-standard software, students develop their conceptual thinking skills required for successful transfer and continuing study within an evolving design field.

Coursework in the Associate of Arts Degree focuses on developing creativity and concept through the study of design principles, elements, and history focusing on web design, motion design and animation, and print through practice with emerging tools, digital platforms, and contemporary creative technologies.
