Paramedic, S.C.

The four semester Paramedic Skills Certificate (S.C.) is designed for working EMS professionals to fulfill the role of the paramedic by providing immediate primary emergency care to people in health crises. The graduates of this certificate programs will be able to offer advanced life support to all age groups and populations. Students wtihin the Paramedic S.C. program have well-rounded urban and rural clinical experiences, skill instruction, and didactic learning opportunities throughout the certificate program to prepare students to successfully achieve their National Registry of EMT (NREMT) Paramedic certification. The primary goal of this ceritifcate program is to provide the working EMT with career mobility and an avenue to provide safe, competent care as an entry-level paramedic. Classes in the Paramedic, S.C. program must be passed wtih a “B” or higher to progress. 

Prerequistes:  Current or pending, unencumbered EMT license and successful completion of all entrance exam requirements and the panel interview for admission into Paramedic 1.
