The Associate of Applied Science Nursing Degree from Northwest College (NWC) provides a solid foundation in the principles and skills of Professional Nursing for students planning to practice as a Registered Nurse. The four-semester program utilizes theory, laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning experiences to prepare the successful graduate as an entry-level nurse who provides effective, safe, competent, and appropriate nursing care to diverse populations in a variety of health care delivery settings.

There are additional admission and application requirements above and beyond those for general college admission.  Prospective students should visit the Nursing Department website (www.northwestcollege.edu/nursing/) for requirements specific to the Nursing Program. The Nursing Department provides information to all prospective students upon request. Admission to the program is granted only in the fall semester.

The Northwest College Associate of Applied Science Degree Nursing Program is approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing (State of Wyoming, State Board of Nursing, 130 Hobbs Ave., Suite B, Cheyenne WY 82001, 307-754-7601) and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN, 3343 Peachtree NE, Suite 850, Atlanta GA 30326, 404-975-5000).
