Graphic designers combine art and technology to communicate ideas in visual form. Designers must demonstrate aptitude in creative, analytical, and technical areas.
The Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design is a two-year technical program that prepares students for entry-level employment in a variety of specialized design services such as publishing, prepress, and printing.
Coursework in the Associate of Applied Science Degree focuses on developing an understanding of printing and prepress issues, gaining production skills for web and print media, as well as the study of art and design foundations.
Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and Adobe digital communication tools, students enhance their conceptual thinking and gain technical proficiency in electronic layout, pre-press, and offset printing.
The Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design has three concentration options: graphics production, prepress production, and print production.

Total General Education Requirements: 19-21 Credits
Core and Elective courses taken as part of completion of a degree program may also be used to meet General Education requirements where applicable. Please note that use of these courses to meet General Education requirements may reduce the number of hours required to complete a degree, however that number cannot be reduced below the institutional minimum of 60 credits.
