A study of chromatic and contemporary harmonic concepts. Emphasis placed on the analysis of historical music and writing in contemporary styles. Students expected to develop and practice keyboard skills and use a computer for drill and composition. Prerequisite: MUSC 1040 with a C- or better. (3 hrs lec)
