ASTR 1005 - Introduction to Astronomy(4) A description of the general principles, objects, recent developments, theories, and speculation in astronomy, as well as the methods and equipment by which astronomy is studied. Observations of the sun, moon, planets, stars, groups of stars, and deep-sky objects made, conditions permitting. Some computer simulations included. Prerequisite: Placement at math level 2.
