MATH 1000 - Problem Solving(3) Designed to acquaint the student with the usefulness of mathematics. Accomplished by an in-depth exploration of a variety of applied problems and the methods, models, and strategies used to solve them. Primarily for students who do not intend to take calculus. Prerequisite: A grade of “C-” or better in MATH 0920 or placement at math level 2 within one year prior to enrollment. (3 hrs lec)
