Practical Nursing, C.S.C.

This certificate program provides a solid foundation in the principles and theories of nursing for students planning to practice as Licensed Practical Nurses in the health care setting. Students must successfully complete general education requirements and core courses with a “C” or better to meet certificate program requirements.

Students who successfully complete the certificate program will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing.

Admission Criteria: Test of Essential Academic Skills, current certification as nursing assistant, and successful completion of ENGL 1010 - English I: Introduction to Composition  and ZOO 2010 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I .
